How To Use Photoshop Levels
Easy PhotoShop
Tutorials
To find an easy way to edit your picture, click Image >>
Adjustments >> Levels You can also use Ctrl and L on your
keyboard for a shortcut. Now, we're going to "click the button to the far
right" with the eyedropper on it, and click the eyedropper on the part
of your photo that is suppose to be white.
I clicked the eyedropper and chose the right bottom corner of my picture, and look what it did! Compare it with the picture on the previous page Edit an Image. Not only did it adjust the white, it adjusted all the colors in the picture. This is the fastest and easiest way to adjust your Color Balance.

The other two eyedroppers, represent a black on the left and medium gray in the middle. If for some reason your image does not have any white, you can use black or gray with the same effect. For example, you can click on the first eyedropper which is black, and click on something in your photo that is suppose to be black.
Also, check out what happens to the bar graph. You can click around your picture with the eyedropper to see the different effects it does to your picture. When you are satisfied with the color you want, just click OK.
If you can't get it back to the color you want, just press and hold your ALT key, and the CANCEL button will turn into a RESET button. Click it with your mouse while it says RESET and it will return to the original picture, and you can start over again.
You can also use the PhotoShop advanced method called CURVES, the menu looks a little different, but it also has the same three eyedroppers. PhotoShop is a huge program and has so many options and ways of doing the same thing, using different tools. What we shared with you here in this tutorial, is the way we do it. It doesn't necessarily mean it's the only way, but it is the easiest way we have found to adjust the color.
