Wildflowers on a Beach Photo

On the beach in Connecticut a common wild flower grows.
I don't know if it is, but it reminds me of ragweed.
A lot of people are allergic to ragweed, but the butterflies seem to enjoy it.
The little flowers bloom in the spring and all summer long.

I suspect that these weeds were not here long ago, the because there is evidence of old structures and what may have been an old dump at one time.
