After you have your website built, you find a domain name, you found a web host, you need to be thinking about an easy way to upload your website to your new web host. Usually your webhost has an ftp upload, but they only let you upload a certain number of files, or pages at a time.
We use the older version of WSFTP LE. The newer version, they want you to pay for, and we have only found this older version on one website on the Net, and the website is in Canada. So create a folder on your C drive and call it "My Downloads," (if you don't already have one) and go to this Canadian website, scroll to the bottom and download the WS-FTP LE 5.08 to your "My Downloads" file.
Once it downloads, you can open the folder, and find the install file, and it will lead you in installing it. Then you will have to add a shortcut on your desktop, so the FTP will be easily accessible. Setting up the FTP, is another story, and a lot of it is figured out just by trial and error.
Some people also use a program called "Cute FTP," and there are many others, but we have always used WSFTP LE, and this is what we recommend you use also. Here is what the WSFTP log in screen looks like.
